On top of such a long and heavy story as you got last week, you need something a little lighter. Yes, at least I had, so it was a Friday evening with a nice dinner and of course a good bottle of Greek Wine - it can hardly get better.

It had to be because the weekend was the sign of this year's upcoming trips to Crete in Elena's Group Tours, and all the focus was on all the wonderful trips I will be a tour guide on during the year, with equally wonderful guests.
But the weekend actually also offered something else, because we chose to put another couple of trips up for sale on our website - and you know what? – one is a wine tour.

We decided to take a team of 8 guests down to some of the wineries, where we ourselves pick up many of the wines we have on the shelves in the store. And in fact, we have put another trip on the program. You can read about both these two trips and the other trips where there are still a few places available, on the website or just click here .

Personally, I am very much looking forward to the Vinrejsen, because it is undeniably fantastic and enriching to sit in shorts while the sun is high in the sky and enjoy the various exciting wines and perhaps make new discoveries within the classic art of making good wine.
The wine journey naturally offers several wine tastings (as many as 4 of the kind), at some of the best wine producers in Crete, and it will be possible to order exactly the wines you want directly at the winery, and subsequently have them delivered through Elenas for a special attractive price.

But the journey also offers a lot of other things, such as delicious culinary dinners, exciting excursions, relaxation and, not least, pleasant company with other wine lovers. Doesn't that sound like a holiday with great experiences that you just HAVE to go on?

As mentioned, there are only 8 places and the departure date is 1/6-19, so if you also want to join, you just have to order immediately, because the tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. You are of course very welcome to share this little post with your friends if you think there are some of them who might be interested in joining.

Well, now I want to sit back a little and enjoy a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from Agia Triada Klostret, which is one of the Cretan wines I like a lot myself, while I let my thoughts fly back in time to when I a restaurant in Crete was asked what I would like to have and drink with the meal?.. I would like wine, I said, to which the waiter replied: "You can't drink that. You can get water from a jug or bottle”. The wine of the place was not just for drinking, he said - The wine was for enjoying and it should not just be drunk from thirst. And there is something about that.

Jammas and a really good Friday evening and weekend
