The story
It all started in 2005, when we set foot on the magnificent holiday island of Crete for the first time.
It was almost a coincidence that we just ended up there after 15 years without a single holiday day, and it was a big upheaval in our family's life.
We fell for the diverse Greek nature with the wonderful natural ingredients and especially the olive oil, which has so many good properties and should be a regular ingredient in every kitchen.
For millennia, the olive oil from Crete has been the island's biggest source of income (apart from tourism) and not without reason. The cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil has so many uses that it is impossible to enumerate.
It was and is our goal with Elenas to give the Danes the opportunity to experience for themselves not only the fantastic Greek virgin olive oil and all its fantastic properties, but also all sorts of other Greek products. Today we can proudly say that we at Elenas have Denmark's largest range of Greek specialties and new products are added all the time.
At the end of 2022, we also started selling products from other countries, which has proven to be a great success.
On 1 February 2016, I took over our family business Elenas, where my father is still involved, where he, among other things, has daily contact with many of our old suppliers in Crete and on the mainland to ensure that the quality is always top notch and we have the goods on the shelves that our many customers demand.
Elenas is still run as a family business from our address in Spøttrup, where we also have our shop, administration and warehouse, and it is also from here that we send all orders to the customers.

In addition to all the unique and exciting foreign products, we can also help with a lot of daily goods, to some extent here at Elenas.dk, but also on our site Kassepris.dk which we started in 2023, with the desire to offer the Danish consumer for a lot of groceries at a fixed low price!
