This delicate rosé wine is a classic white vinification of the Merlot grape. It comes from the Viotia region, which is one of the largest wine-growing zones in Greece!
The FILIOMA wines are produced at the very well-known vineyard MALAMATINA, which is world-renowned for its retsina! These wines are not retsina, but you can still expect the same towering standard that has made their retsina so immensely popular around the world!
The rosé is produced 100% from hand-picked Merlot grapes, therefore it has a wonderful taste of red fruits such as strawberries, cherries and raspberries as well as floral notes of rose and mint. It is ideally suited as an aperitif or sipping wine after the meal, as its fine, delicate flavor nuances are really allowed to emerge in this way!
However, you can also choose to serve it with a wonderful pasta dish, a side dish with pork or veal and vegetarian dishes such as Greek lentil soup. Especially the lentil soup, this Rosé would compliment very well, as Greek lentil soup is often served with red vinegar as a topping. This would soften the sweetness of the wine in a beautiful way, leaving you with a balanced and complete taste experience. Yamas and kali orexi!
