Kechris Genesis Red Wine 500ml

This charming Genesis from Kechris is a good candidate as the perfect everyday Greek red wine. It is made from 50% Xinomavro and 50% Merlot, which gives it a harmonious and fruity aroma. It has notes of strawberry and tomato, which are the classic characteristics of Xinomavro, and together with the plums of the Merlot really take the fruitiness to higher levels. It is bottled in cute little 0.5 liter bottles, perfect for the small glass on a weekday evening. It is aged for 8 months in large, old casks, which give a lovely undertone of vanilla. It is best described as charmingly immediate, and this is expressed both in the lovely taste and the nice little bottles. Serve it with all your good everyday dishes, such as moussaka, pasta with meat sauce or even good, old-fashioned meatballs. Potassium appetite!
