This retsina is possibly one of the most iconic on the market, and even won a gold medal at the Thessaloniki International Wine Competition as the first resin-enriched wine. The charming, pear-shaped pint bottle has characterized this retsina for 20 years, to the delight of all tourists and Greeks in Greece!
It is made from hand-sorted Roditis grapes, enriched with pine resin and aged for at least 6 months. The alcohol percentage is 11.5%, and it has a beautiful floral scent, delicious undertones of honeydew melon, yellow apples and rosemary, and of course also distinct resin notes. It goes well with light poultry, fish and vegetarian dishes. For example, try serving it with charcoal-grilled light fish and flash-grilled, fresh vegetables turned in lemon. Yay for that!
